Polish Humanitarian Action helps people around the world in critical situations.

When on March 11th 2011 a Tsunami hit North Eastern Japan leaving over 15 000 people dead and many more homeless,
we reacted. We turned to Geo Eye for satelllite images of the affected areas before and after the earthquake, and then
overlaid one on top of the other with a slide bar. Users could not only see of the scale of the disaster but also understand
how much money would be needed to get people back in their homes in any chosen area. Users could then visit
the Polish Humanitarian Action site to pledge their support. We estimate that our banners had more than 4 300 000 views.
